Anna Tunnicliffe of Plantation, FL prevailed at the Rolex International Women's Keelboat Championship at Rochester Yacht Club in Rochester, New York.  Bullets in races 3, 4 and 5 allowed Tunnicliffe to start her celebration early.  The team came in to shore to allow the remaining competitors to duke it out for second through 35th place in the event's final race.

Finishing in second place was local Cory Sertl with 22 points.  The next three teams tied with 25 points.  After the tiebreakers, Carol Cronin of Jamestown, RI finished third, Dominique Provoyeur of South Africa fourth, and Jennifer Provan of Toronto, Ontario fifth.  Besides Tunnicliffe's two wins on Saturday, the other race winner was Nicole Breault of Old Lyme, CT who won the final race of the event.

The top 10 are: Anna Tunnicliffe (12 points), Cory Sertl (22), Carol Cronin (25), Dominique Provoyeur (25), Jennifer Provan (25), Marieke Poulie (29), Amanda Taselaar (32), Nicole Breault (34), JoAnn Fisher (35), and Kaitlin Storck (44).

Teams saw a wide variety of conditions.  Three races were completed each on Thursday and Saturday, after all races were cancelled Wednesday due to high winds and Friday due to light winds.

Five countries were represented at this year's Rolex IWKC--Canada, Great Britain, the Netherlands, South Africa and the United States (with competitors from 15 states).  For complete results, photos and video, visit www.riwkc.com.
