Light winds prevailed for the first of three Grade 3 match racing events for the 2022 California Dreamin’ Series. Held January 29-30 in J/22s, seven teams were able to complete one round robin in which Nicole Breault and her team of Molly Carapiet, Karen Loutzenheiser and Julie Mitchell went undefeated for the win. Rounding out the podium was Robbie King in second with 4 wins/2 losses and taking the bronze was Charlie Miller with 3 wins/3 losses. The 2022 California Dreamin’ Series consists of three Grade 3 match racing events at San Diego Yacht Club (January 29-30; J/22s), St. Francis Yacht Club (March 5-6; J/22s), and Long Beach Yacht Club (March 19-20; Catalina 37s).
