Match racing skipper Ryan Seago from Detroit, MI snared first place in St. Francis Yacht Club’s stop on the California Dreamin’ J/22 Match Race Series. Facing significant flood tide along the challenging Cityfront course, Seago timed his starts to perfection, and there were few chances for the trailing boat to pass. Seago gave kudos to the local crew who joined him at the last minute when his regulars could not get time off to make the trip. Shawn Bennett from the host club was second, edging out Matt Whitfield of Seattle, WA in a tiebreaker. Whitfield leads the Series, having won the first two stops held at San Diego YC and Balboa YC.
